Last updated: 30 May 2018

Cookies are small text files uploaded from the website you visit to your device, only to be recalled once you visit the website again. Cookies can hold information about your browsing habits or about behaviour such as the amount of time you stayed at the revisited website the cookies originated from. These small text files are helpful when, for example, websites need to remember what you've put in your shopping basket, what content you've already read and to make personal recommendations related to articles you haven't read but might be of interest to you based off your browsing habits.

Cookies are not viruses and they are not harmful on their own.
